Scottsdale Turkey Trot — FAQ

The Basics

What is the Scottsdale Turkey Trot? A Thanksgiving morning 5K along the Arizona Canal, paired with a wellness festival at the finish line. It's a flat, fast, and scenic course that winds through Scottsdale.

When is it? Thursday, November 26, 2026 (Thanksgiving morning). The race starts at 8:00 AM MST.

Where is it? 5001 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85250. The course runs along the Arizona Canal.

Do I have to run it? Nope. Walkers, joggers, racers, families, first-timers, run clubs, PR chasers, and stroller-pushers are all welcome. Everyone crosses the same finish line.

What happens after the race? The finish line turns into a festival — music, food, recovery, and a few thousand people who all made the same good decision that morning.

Registration

How do I register? Registration is open on Race Roster: raceroster.com/events/2026/139929/scottsdale-turkey-trot. Click "Register" and choose your category.

What registration categories are there? There are three categories: General, VIP, and Kids (12 &under)

What does VIP include? VIP includes a separate race check-in spot with an exclusive recovery area, pre-run breakfast bites, and coffee.

How much does it cost? Pricing increases as race day approaches:

  • Best price: through September 30

  • Tier 2: October 1 – November 15

  • Final tier: November 16 – November 25

Register early — the best pricing won't last.

Are there added fees? A registration platform processing fee is added at checkout. Sales tax, if applicable, is calculated at checkout.

Can I buy a registration as a gift? Yes! Gift registrations are available on the Race Roster event page — perfect for getting the whole family to the start line.

Can I register a group, team, or run club? Yes — use the "Run Clubs, Fitness Groups & Teams" link on the event page to register or join a team.

How do I confirm my registration? Use the "Confirm registration" link on the Race Roster event page, or check your confirmation email.

Can I transfer or get a refund? All sales are final / transfers allowed until November 7th, 2026.

Race Day

Where do I park? Parking is available complimentary at the Embassy Suites. It is limited and available on a first come first serve basis. Please arrive with enough time to find parking and get to the race start line.

Is there packet pickup before race day? Yes, we will have packet pickup before the race — details to be announced.

Is the race timed? Yes, chip-timed with results posted after the race.

Are strollers allowed? Yes — the event welcomes stroller-pushers.

Are dogs allowed? We ask that you please leave your pups at home.

What's the age range for the Kids category? 12 & under.
